An exciting, interactive concert which can also be integrated into a full day of activities promoting the appreciation and conservation of our natural world.

Respect for ourselves, each other, and our beautiful Earth are the themes which run through this fun and participatory show.

The Concert
This is a program of participatory wild songs and natural stories, presented by Jay Mankita. The stage is decorated with a beautiful display of colorful animal pictures and hand-painted animal sculptures.

The combination of humorous and serious material is presented from a positive ethical perspective, the songs and stories encouraging an optimistic, hopeful awareness and concern for ourselves, each other, and our planet.

This concert can stand alone, or be fully integrated into an exciting day of 'wild' activities.

Optional School-wide Activities
CDs and lyric sheets are provided for the music teacher, and classroom teachers who may choose to teach some of the songs in the weeks before the concert.

Suggestions, mask templates, and resource lists are provided for the art teacher who may choose to incorporate the wild theme into specific or ongoing projects, such as animal masks, which can be worn on the day of the concert.

Teachers guides encourage curriculum tie-ins, and include relevant resources such as in-class story and poetry projects.
Kids and teachers are encouraged to come to school dressed as wild animals.

The school library can exhibit books on wildlife, wilderness, and ecology.
Gym classes can play ecological and animal awareness games.

The cafeteria can plan a meal that day which coincides with the theme. We can even supply a healthful menu for the day!
Kids can bring in and pool their pennies to buy an acre of rainforest, or even sponsor a whale.
