"Eight Chanukah Nights" is on the radio!

Hi everybody! Here's the 411... short and sweet.

Family Album has been a great success! Thanks to all of you for your kind words, and for loving the CD. It's all been such great fun! New audiences have become new friends as we've shared fun times and a song or two (or three or four...). As always, my main audience is school-age kids and the adults in their lives.

Since the early 1990s I've enjoyed making music with kids who are typically developing and those with special needs in schools, camps, places of worship and community centers. I songlead, run workshops and am available for all kinds of parties and events in community centers, block parties, libraries, hospitals, camps and after-school programs.

Bio stuff...

It was so flattering when the promoters asked me to open the KidZone stage at the first annual Great South Bay Music Festival, held at Long Island's beautiful Shorefront Park.

I had the great honor and pleasure of opening for (and later joining) my good friends, the legendary Lex Grey and The Urban Pioneers at a packed house in Bethel, NY's Yasgur's Farm. The event was awesome, the rain torrential, and everything was covered with mud. Sounds familiar, right?

Early in this new century, I held the guitar residency in the wildly popular House of Peace Heartbeat Band for two fun-filled years.

Groups I've worked with have performed for audiences as diverse as the Parker Geriatric Center in New Hyde Park, NY, and First Lady Hillary Rodham Clinton.

I was a founding member of the Seventies rock bands CTS and The Sacred Eels, and toured with "the three guitar maniac" Apache Fog for several years in the 1980s. Since those rock 'n' roll days, I've settled down with a beautiful family (complete with requisite dog), and have been performing and singing classic folk songs with kids and grups all around the NY metro area. In my spare time I'm a full-time speech-language therapist at a fabulous school in Whitestone, NY.

Finally...

The follow-up to Family Album, Folk Songs and Other Assertions, is in production. The tunes feel greener and have been met with great enthusiasm! Check back for updates.

That's it for now. Thanks for stopping by!

FYI...

Family Album co-producers Lex Grey and Victor Deyglio own and operate Shabbey Road Studio on the Brooklyn waterfront in Williamsburg, NY. Lex produced Someone’s Gotta Wanna Play by Erin Lee & Marci, the 2005 Children’s Music Web Award Winner in the category Best Recording for Younger Children (ages 5-8). The runner-up was produced at the famed Abbey Road Studios. We trust you're familiar with their reputation.
