Here in back yard we can just run hose to bring water to steam bath.
At festivals we need:
-pump
-water storage methods
-flame
-battery
The blue lines on the tank are used to monitor water level. When it is full the water will be at the top blue line.
If the water goes below the lower blue line then you need to add water. How long does it take? The lines were put there by
the dome designer after several trials to mark the water level after running the bath for the period of one small fire. If
you start with the water at the top line, the water will last as long as the fire; if you add wood and/or have gas running
you need to keep adding water. Basically you ideally would have two people there running it, at least one of whom is a Steam
Bath Project certified technician. One option is to add water constantly so it would continuously run. You could run gas
and have fire burning. Someone needs to be there adding wood and adding water to do so.
Needs: Safe covered area for propone and wood.
Lighting? How shall it be lighted? We need a dimmable twelve volt lighting system. We are also planning for light art
and are entertaining proposals.
You can't touch the stove--the smokestack in particular is not water cooled and gets very very hot. Don't touch it.
This needs to be posted at the stove and also at the first aid station. Some of the stove is water cooled. New steamers
should be alerted to the burn potential.
We need two pumps and two batteries, one each for steam bath spritzer for shower. Lighting could be powered by batteries.
Andrews has one of each and John has one of each, although he needs to check out his battery.
