My research has brought me to LA- a state I know nothing about. I'm trying to find information regarding a Melanie McGeorge who married "a Captain in the Marine Corp." As of July 9, 1979 she was married to a Donald G. Turner and they resided in New Orleans.
Found a Social Security Death entry for a Donald Turner who died March 17, 1998. He resided at Haughton, Bossier Co., LA. I would like to find his obit.
Can you please point me in the right direction?
Sincerely,
Mary in CA

Subject: MALONE query of Bossier
I am seeking to correspond with persons who are researching the Malone family
of north LA. My gg-grandfather was John Jackson " JJ" MALONE, born 11-14-1855
in LA and died 2-1930 at Downsville, Union parish, LA. JJ married Mary Alice
Hamilton in 1876 presumably in Union parish. JJ's death certificate states
the his parents were Young and Mary Ann Malone of Bossier parish, LA. I
suspect that the name "Young" was a nickname. Mary Ann Malone was born ca
1835 in SC. Thanks, Jack BOSSIER
To whom it may concern:
I am locked in a seemingly futile search for decedents on my father's side of the family, and I need any help that I can
get. My grandfather's name is Roland Shoumaker, and he was born in Plain Dealing, LA, and is still living there. My
grandmother's name is Alma Wilson Shoumaker. Her mother's name was Nora B. Wilson. Her father's name was James Wilson.
If you can help me in any way, e-mail me at Dimmesdale@postmark.net.
Sincerely,
