     While reading this book, I recognized that though my own beliefs and conduct were inherently right, I had been in the habit of taking other peoples’ criticisms of me to heart as “the way I was.” For the first time I could truly see that I am basically a good person.

     I also realized that my parents had worked hard to instill good moral values in me, but that I had mistakenly discounted their efforts as not important. My appreciation for myself and for my parents, has definitely been strengthened and improved as a result of having read this book.
