In addition to her private consulting practice, Janis has written articles for national magazines, chaired lectures and conducted workshops, regarding the challenges of animal nutrition. Included in the agenda are intestinal integrity and it's maintenance, anti-oxidant therapies, and free- radical pathology with its implication in chronic degenerative conditions.

The pros and cons of commercially available food are focused on as well. Janis' plans for the future include: more lectures and seminars; finishing a book on animal nutrition and healing; instituting nutritional studies for special conditions, such as IBS (Irritable Bowel Syndrome); and educating veterinarians about applying nutritional principles in their practices.

Janis has been involved In Veterinary Health Care for over 15 years, including the area of Applied Kinesiology involving supplemental/nutritional support. Her love and compassion for animals inspired her to address the shortcomings of conventional medicine by researching a holistic approach for healing. Her independent research includes the work of doctors such as Martin Goldstein, Jeffrey Bland, James Fahey, Kurt Schnaubelt, James Balch and Phyllis Balch, N.C. This provided the foundation for her current applications using the disciplines involving Functional and Naturopathic Medicines in the Veterinary field as a Nutritional Consultant.
