STUDENT NET
The Free Student Online Network

Hello. I am a student at California State University, Northridge (that's me in the upper left). I am mobilizing students to resist the increasing attacks on student rights. The method used is internet networking, employing the internet and other technologies to form groups which can fight for their goals in any number of ways. It's how protests are being organized worldwide. But it's up to you to take action!

How are students being attacked, you may ask? We have...

  • Denial of financial assistance to draft resisters and for committing victimless crimes (check the student financial assistance form)
  • Conscription (draft registration now, go to war later)
  • Unpaid community servitude ("community service")
  • Attacks on demonstrations, raves, and any other manifestation of dissident politics and culture
  • Curfews, profile searches and "zero tolerance" policies selectively applied to youth, minorities and dissidents (but not against government, corporate and university officials who break the law and violate our rights)

    What can you do?
    Plenty!
    Use this site to...

  • Form alliances of campus groups to protest these attacks
  • Gain the tools to mobilize students
  • Create university programs to advise students of their rights
  • Sponsor speakers and forums on these issue
  • Gain faculty and university support for student rights
  • Join allied organizations fighting for free campuses
  • Participate in protests and direct actions

A new wave of protest is emerging globally--get in on it now!
