Here are some tips to get you started at the game of Word Racer. Of course, practice makes perfect.

Look for rhyming patterns in words. After you find one word, you may discover that there are similar words in the puzzle as well.

Examples

  • If you find tee, perhaps you’ll find others like gee cee vee dee
  • If you find fox, then maybe you’ll find box lox
  • This list could really go on a long time.  Here are some more, and as you play, you’ll develop your own favorites.

  • boy coy soy toy
  • din fin gin tin win twin
  • fit nit git wit pit sit unfit

Use the colored tiles.   Blue tiles double the point values for your words and the red tiles triple.  In rounds 2, 3, and 4, these tiles will appear. Use them and use them fast before your opponents can.

If you have an ‘S’, use it. You’ll get an extra word and more points for it since it is longer.

Look for common suffixes. By finding a common suffix in a board, you may be able to quickly find lots of words with the suffix and since these words will have extra letters from the suffix, they’ll be worth more points. So why search for words for a 3 letter word and get 10 points when you can find a 3 letter combo to go with the suffix you find, and get bonus points for the longer word.

  • ER: tower doer bluer runner
  • ING: doing being teeing seeing
