Born in 1977 to “two incredible parents,” Glen and Debbie Smith, author R. C. Smith lived in Council Bluffs, Iowa, until 1989, when his family moved.
R.C. currently lives in McKinney, Texas, a small city near Dallas. Writing is a part-time venture, one which R.C. hopes eventually becomes full-time. Hobbies include writing, reading, good music, spending time with interesting people including his girlfriend.

It always amazes me how people react to literature when it really touches them and makes them think. Deep down, I don't think writing is about money (though money can be a significant boost to the writer's situation), but rather about finding a way to discuss things that you cannot express otherwise. I have noticed not only in myself, but in other creative people, that their creativity is not limited to the pen, canvas, or instrument that is the primary tool of their trade. (Indeed, these things are present in everything we do.) They're in the way we dress, the way we speak, in our mannerisms and in the way we relate to others.
