On this page are the events that we will attend for the reenacting season from September 2008 as far as they are known. This list will be updated from time to time as the year unfolds.
There are two types of events shown below, company events and those that may be of interest to some of us to attend. Company members should attend the events labled with an asterisk (*) as company events. The others are optional but should be looked upon as additional opportunities to participate.

The events shown below with an asterisk (*) are company events that all members should attend.

  • September 19 -21, 2008 - 145th Chicamauga The link to the web site for this event is included below. *  https://su.lcs.net/chickamauga/reg1.htm
  • October 11, 12 2008 - Ft. Clinch Fall Garrison, Ft. Clinch, Fernadina, Beach, FL. This event is a must do for anyone who is interested in doing a living history impression in a real civil war era fort.  This is a battalion event. *
  • November 6-8, 2008 -  Atlanta at Nash Farms Hampton, GA. For those of you who were there last you you know this is a really good event. The property for the battlefield is on a 300 acre tract that was acuired by Henry County, Georgia. This tract contains the actual battlefield where the historic batlle was fought. the property is know as Nash Farm. Last year we camped in the same spot where the Confederate forces were encamped for about 2 weeks. This is a battalion event. *  A link to the host site is below.   http://www.civilwarherald.com/tag/Battle+of+Lovejoy's+Station
  • December 5-7, 2008 Hog Town near Gainesville, Florida.*  
  • January 16-19, 2009 -  Brooksville Raid, Brooksville, FL. This event has been well attended by our company. This is a battalion event.* A link to the event site is below. http://www.thebrooksvilleraid.com/
  • February 13-15 2009 -  The Battle Of Olustee, Olustee, FL. Friday is School day  The reenactment takes place on the actual site where the Battle of Olustee (Ocean Pond) was fought. This is the best event in the Florida reenactment season. This is a battalion event.* A link to the event web site is below.       http://battleofolustee.org/reenactment.html
  • March 7-8, 2009 - Battle of Natural Bridge, Near Tallahassee, FL. This battle is held on the original battlefield located 12 miles south of Tallahassee. This is a really good event that will grow to be a larger event as the battlefield site grows as well. * http://www.nbhscso.com/gpage1.html
  • March 21-22, 2009 -  Secession Garrison, Ft. Clinch, Fernadina, Beach, FL. This event is hosted by the 7th Florida Company F and is a living history event to portray the fort early in the war after Florida seceded from the union. This event encourages the use of early war impressions. Many of us have acquired impressions that portray the militia unit from the local area.*
  • March 27-39, 2009 - Battle of Narcoosee Mill, Narcoosee, FL. A link to the event site is included below.                     http://www.jacobsummerlin.org/
  • April 25,26 2009 Florida Battalion Annual Meeting & Muster *
  • May (TBA), 2009 - Battle of Resaca, Resaca, GA. This event is fought on the ORIGINAL battle field. If you haven't been you need to experience this one. A link is provided below.  http://www.georgiadivision.org/bor_reenactment.html
