My first aileron plane and also my first built up plane. The quality of the kit is pretty bad, but what do you expect for $20? The plane is easy to fly, and it made a very good first aileron ship. It's a very light plane, and it will fly well in light lift. Top speed is not very high and penetration is so-so. Roll rate is pretty slow, and full down elevator is required to hold altitude while inverted. What the Runt does have is a very tight turn radius, which makes it easy to manuver close to the hill when the lift is light and variable. Its small size and light weight also make it very survivable. Mine often came out of cartwheel landings without a scratch. Its main drawback is that it is kinda boring once you learn how to fly it. Once this happened to mine, it became a thrasher plane. When it was in really bad shape, I decided that I'd let it go out in a blaze of glory, by doing a speed run and cartwheeling it into the hard ground. Unfortunately, it was in such bad shape that it went out of control and crashed before I had a chance to crash it (does that make sense?). It went into the garbage after that.
