At one time, my club held races with these using O.S. .15FP's. I had the engine, so I bought the plane with the intent of racing it. Unfortunately, they stopped doing the races, and I never got a chance to compete with mine. This is a nice little kit, in stark contrast to the Birdie. The plane is easy to fly once in the air, but it has notoriously bad ground handling. Taking of in anything but a head wind can tricky. I often had to make 3 or 4 attempts before successfully getting off the ground. Roll rate isn't very fast, though it does snap roll fairly well. Mine wasn't too fast with the .15 in the nose, but it was fun to fly in a tight pattern. Landings are very easy. I took first place in the first (and so far only) contest I ever entered with this plane- a spot landing competition.
