The 50th year class reunion, July 16 and 17, 2004 .
The festivities began on Friday, July 16th at 6:30 p.m with a casual
gathering at Sam's Highland Park Bowl, Moline, IL in the "Fargo South Hall". Approximately 90 people (61 class
members and spouses) attended Friday night's event.
Saturday, July 17th at Oakwood Country Club, Coal Valley, IL, the
festivities began at 5:30 p.m. with dinner being served at 7:00 p.m. Approximately 107 people (65 class members,
spouses and 3 of our former teachers) attended on Saturday night.
The photographer took our picture and brought in a proof before
the evening ended. Everyone looks just like they did 50 years ago (ha ha). Seriously though, must say, the
picture does reflect a good looking group!
Following the dinner and the program, music for dancing was provided by "Nite Life"
band from 9 to 12.
If you are interested in details of the two nights, they are provided for you on the
"Latest News" page.

Another Reunion in Arizona
The 2007 Arizona UTHS Alumni gathering was attended by 21 alumni and spouses. There
were some new attendees with some of the previous attendees being absent. Present from the Class of 1954
was Jessie Boyd, Kitty (Stafford) Howlett, Larry & Kay (Slover) Nelson, Rod Sohrbeck, Arline (Schneck) Stevenson
and John Cabor. This was John's first time attending any event since graduation which made his attendance special.
He and Rod had a good time reminiscing of the times when they grew up in the same neighborhood in East Moline. Hopefully,
he will return for another gathering.
If you happen to winter in the Phoenix, Arizona area, there is another reunion
held on the first Sunday in March. This reunion is open to all U.T.H.S. Alumni and Staff Members.
The upcoming winter's gathering will be held again at Apache Wells RV Resort in Mesa, AZ on March 2, 2008.
This event began in 1998 with five members of the Class of 1954 having lunch together
and has expanded as people had heard about the class members' get together and called to inquiry if they could join the group.
So, if you are in the Phoenix area on the first Sunday in March and would like to attend,
you can get in touch with Jessie (Gray) Boyd via this web site or call Sally Leibovitz, Phoenix or Leroy and Arline (Schneck)
Stevenson, Mesa for further details.
This is a very casual event. We bring hors d'oeuvre and our own beverage.
Come one, come all!
