1995 Toyota 4Runner SR5
This was a nice vehicle that I bought on ebay. I bought it to replace my 1989 4Runner SR5, but I found that I liked the 5 speed "old school" 4Runner too much to let it go. I did drive the 95 to work, which is about 5 miles away, and it drove well. But coming home about a month ago, it over-heated just as I got to my driveway. I carefully cooled the engine and refilled the radiator. The 95 4Runner still runs on all 6 cylinders but it blows steam out of the exhaust. I believe it has blown the head gasket, but it may have warped the head too. Anyway, I am giving up on this vehicle and would like to find it a home.
Other than the engine, its in good shape. The AC blows much better than the 89 and will cool the car in about 5 minutes even if it's been sitting in the sun.
It is a 4 Wheel Drive (4WD) 4Runner, but the CV joints on the front axles are rough and need work if you plan to drive the vehicle off the road a lot or at speeds higher than 25 - 30 MPH. As a 2WD vehicle, it drives and rides very nicely.
The radio was pulled by the ebay seller and an old Toyota AM/FM CASS unit sits in the radio compartment in the dash which is ready for that high end unit that I was going to install. I have decided to let the buyer purchase their own choice of stereo rather than buy one myself and try to pass the cost. I use the existing radio with a cassette adapter and my MP3 player and the sound is very good. Other than a small tear in the drivers seat and the usual wear and tear one would expect from an 11 year old vehicle, the inside and out are in really great shape. NO RUST that I can find anywhere.
Everything else works great. This includes the power windows (including the rear window), power door locks (with automatic unlock and lock from the door key), power mirrors, cruise control, AC/Heat (including the rear passenger unit in the center console), Overdrive enable/disable, ECT Power button, and rear defrost.
All in all, this is a very clean and nice vehicle and could give a lot more miles in style and comfort if someone takes the time to go over the engine. I don't have the time and that's why I am selling it.
I am listing this for what I think you could get if you just parted it out and I believe that this price represents an exceptional deal. It is sold as-is with no warranties given or implied. Please call James Carter at 321-223-6331 if you have any questions or would like to see it.
I will consider all reasonable offers.
