Robert Louis Carroll was born on September 21, 1952 in Cincinnati, Ohio, son of Willie Edward Carroll Sr., and Charlena Jean
Mitchell. He has one brother, Willie Edward Carroll Jr., and three sisters, Sandra Bly, Vicki Stapleton, and Rolande Hogue,
all older than he. Louis spent eight years in the Marine Corps and 13+ years in the Army, retiring as a Military Communications
Officer in 1993. He and his family have lived virtually all over the world.

His wife, Vivian Lee Carroll, daughter of William and Gladys Beamon, was born on May 8, 1953 in Cincinnati,
Ohio. She has five older sisters, Eleanor, Virginia, Phillis, Patricia, and Connie, and five younger brothers, William, Richard,
John, Frank, and Allen. Louis and Vivian met in high school and were married April 27, 1971 in a small church in Falmouth,
Kentucky.

Vance Allen Carroll is the oldest of the Carroll children. Born June 4, 1973 at Camp Pendleton, California, he has a Bachelor
of Environmental Science degree from Evergreen State College near Olympia, Washington.

Erika Dawn (Carroll) Branscum is the second of the Carroll children. Born November 9, 1975 at Beaufort,
South Carolina, she studied nursing in college. She and her husband, John Branscum, live in Tumwater, Washington.

Penny Leanne Carroll is the youngest. She was born September 30, 1981 at Fort Riley, Kansas. She graduated from high school
in Yelm, Washington, class of 2000 and Bryman College in Renton, Washington, October 2003 where she studied dentistry. She
currently lives and works in the Yelm/Olympia area.

The little girl on the left is grand daughter Kayla Dawn Branscum, nickname Kaykay, daughter of Erika and John, born February
26, 2001 in Olympia, Washington. On the right is grand daughter Kiara Marie Carroll, Vance's daughter, nicknamed K-C by grandpa,
born October 3, 2002 in Tacoma, Washington.
