ISLAND VIEW BEACH HOME (formerly Island View Beach Cottage) has
been providing happy memories, and stress relief, for guests of all ages and countries since 2007. This new home, finished
just this winter 2013, is a modern 2-story home on the end of Miller Peninsula in the Sequim sunbelt area. Located between
Port Townsend and Sequim, it is just a few short hours to Seattle ferries and less than an hour from Victoria, BC ferries.
It features spectacular views of Protection Island, Strait of Juan de Fuca, Whidbey Island and several other islands along
with volcanic Mt. Baker in the distance. Marine life abounds in front of the home ranging from shorebirds, eagles, whales,
orcas, porpoise, seals, and the human ship/boat traffic along with the ever-present deer population.
Fabulous year round sunsets, summer beach combing and tide pool
exploring; gorgeous fall color viewing & hiking through trails lush with many varieties of mushrooms; spring time wild
flowers and rhododendron bushes exploding in color through the evergreens; and experiencing the high energy of winter storms
make this a great place to visit year round. This area is also very popular with birders who enjoy the marine, woodland and
shorebird residents and visitors who make Diamond Point their permanent or temporary home.
Nearby attractions include local tidepools near the home, hiking
trails on the Peninsula, and beach combing for miles when tides are low.
In the Sequim area, Dungeness Spit in Sequim is the nations longest
spit with Dungeness Lighthouse at the end offering daily tours, Dungeness River Audubon Center, Lavender farms, organic farms,
parks, golf courses, summer festivals, farmer's markets, weekly outdoor music offerings, Olympic Game Farm, Olympic Discovery
Trail (popular with hikers and cyclists alike) and many great restaurants, shops and opportunities for adventure.
Port Angeles offers access to Victoria, BC ferries, many dining
options and entertainment attractions as well as a large pier, marine science center & art galleries. Further
away, Olympic National Park & Hurricane Ridge provide spectacular views of the north eastern part of the Olympic Peninsula
and Canada and US islands.
Port Townsend offers many art, dining and marine attractions as well as ferries
to Whidbey Island and boat cruises and rentals for local exploring.
Sequim Visitor's Center will have current offerings should you
be interested in more details.
