Island View Beach Cottage is a cute, cozy home on the Strait of Juan de Fuca looking directly out at the Protection Island wildlife sanctuary.  While humans love it out here, this area is a special place to marine, land and air animals as well.   Bald eagles, deer, elephant seals, harbor seals and a wide variety of birds spend time here.   Porpoises, orca and ocassional whales also frequent the waters in the area. 

 

The beach is full of surprises at low tide and high tide, with miles of beach to roam if you choose. If you would rather sit back and relax, there is a beautiful deck to enjoy the view from right outside your door.

 

We are not too far from Sequim and about 45 minutes from Port Townsend and the Whidbey Island ferry.  You can also access the Victoria ferry from Port Angeles approximately 45 minutes to the west.
