Annual Dues

            Attached you will find the annual notice for 2009 – 2010 dues. Please return your payment promptly so we may continue to provide great programming at discount rates.

Golf Outing

            August 14, 2009 is the date and Sanctuary Lakes in Troy, MI is the place for the annual ISIAL Golf Outing. Sanctuary Lakes is a City of Troy municipal course located at 1450 E. South Blvd., Troy, MI 48085-1054, phone number: (248) 619-7600. Details from Sean Taylor to follow.

U.S. Supreme Court Admission Ceremony

            The ISIAL has made arrangements with the U.S. Supreme Court for a special ISIAL group admissions ceremony on June 21, 2010. To qualify for admission to the U.S. Supreme Court an applicant:

1.      Must have admitted to practice in the highest court of a State, Commonwealth, Territory or Possession, or the District of Columbia for a period of at least three (3) years immediately before the date of application

2.      Must not have been the subject of any adverse disciplinary action pronounced or in effect during that three (3) year period

3.      Must appear to the Court to be of good moral and professional character

            Spaces for the ceremony are limited so if you are interested in the group admission please contact me at: psullivan09@gmail.com. Arrangements for overnight accommodations at a group rate are being investigated as well as a post-ceremony reception.

New Venue for General Meetings

            With the May 2009 closing of the beloved Baile Corcaigh we are left without a local venue for our General Meetings. Be assured that your Executive Committee is hard at work scouting new venues appropriate for the ISIAL and I will report on the results of our multi venue task.
