This site was created as an aid to students who are studying the UNIX operating system in a PC environment. Our course uses the PC clone of that operating system ("Linux") as a working platform to give students practical experience with a UNIX-like kernel and a wide variety of new graphic utilities that have been developed to simplify its use.
