"Making Honey" was accepted into the 85th Spring Salon at the Springville
Museum of Art. It runs at the Museum through July 5. "Making Honey" is also on the road right now with the
2009-2010 Utah Arts Council Traveling Exhibit.
"Moonbeam" and "Nightfire" were both accepted into the Eccles Community Art Center's 35th Statewide
Competition, opening July 4. "Moonbeam" and "Making Honey" were both accepted into the American Association of University
Women show which starts August 13 at the Utah Cultural Celbration Center.

The Etsy webstore has been
active. What is selling well now are the old fashioned wooden and wind-up toys we had left in inventory
from our toy selling days. They are listed under "vintage."
I've been accepted to the SLC Farmer's Market as an
alternate--I'll get a call on the morning someone says they can't be there, so I can't give you a schedule. Just watch
for me when you're there.
We're developing some new products that you will see
on Etsy and at the art fairs. Along with bandanas, we're going to be printing cushion covers, plus we'll be mounting
some of our textiles in Sudberry jewelry boxes, trays, and coasters.

ART 1240 Screen Printing at
Salt Lake Community College has its good days and bad days. The students are getting used to the water-based
ink--the retarder is VERY important, aws is moving FAST. The ink dries almost instantly, both on the paper and in the screen. The
water-based textile ink is NICE--it has that soft feel that everyone wants instead of the rubbery feel that Plastisols give
you.
We've gone on two plant tours: Advanced Apparel and
Anagraphica. This week the students are printing gig posters and next week they'll be printing be
printing on static cling vinyl (I'm a mean teacher!) THEN they get to print a ONE-COLOR T-shirt. The last
day of class is August 6.
Being interim chair of the National Distance Education and Training Council's
Standard VII Accreditation Committee is a lot of work for a volunteer job. Right now I'm building a comparison chart
of the admissions policies of all of the Colleges and Universities in California. Interesting stuff.
Keeping busy until next time.
