Dates are American style - month/day/year. Everything is one disc, unless otherwise indicated. If I know something is an audience recording, it is indicated in the description. Everything else is of UNKOWN ORIGIN. I can trace the origin of a lot of stuff, but not everything. These have no "cass.>CD-R" etc. in the description if I am not sure. Any disc that I am sure was sourced from MP3 is clearly marked as such.
The grading system I use is subjective (A+ =
excellent, down to C- = distorted recording for
hardcore fans only). Store-bought or
mail-ordered originals are indicated by CD>CD-R. Unless
otherwise indicated, all others are copied
from a traded CD-R. If you see a title without a grade, it
probably means I just got it and haven't graded it yet.
Please let me know if any discs you have for trade are not DAO. I prefer to trade only for DAO, but will make exceptions. By DAO, I mean no gaps whatsoever between tracks. If there are any "gaps" or "clicks" on your discs, for God's sake, LET ME KNOW!!!
A few definitions...
DAO = Disc At Once - the disc is burned with the
laser on the entire time. There is no disruption of the concert
experience. Tracks change seamlessly with no interruption of the
sound, just like a store-bought live album. My live shows are DAO
unless noted otherwise.
TAO = Track At Once - there is a discernible pause between tracks, whether it is .o2 seconds or up to 2 seconds. I will indicate any gaps in my description. Many of the TAO recordings I offer have outstanding sound quality. If you have a DAO version to trade, please let me know. The majority of the shows I list as TAO can be enjoyed even with the tiny pauses.
clicks/tracks = pauses less than .05 second but
still noticeable
1 sec gaps = big gaps noticeable to the casual listener
2 sec gaps = even bigger gaps
NOTE: These apply to live recordings only, not studio outtakes (which
have gaps for a reason, right?).
I don't have a brand preference, but ask that
you
please use the same brand for all discs in a set. For example, if
a
show is a 2 cd set, please don't send one Fuji and one TDK.
Please
send two of the same brand. Please use brand-name CD-Rs.
PLEASE DON'T PUT LABELS ON
THE DISCS! And I'd prefer it if you wouldn't write
anything on them.
One last thing... I ship without jewel cases.
