This bulletin, designed for
clients (and clients-to-be) is sent to thank you
for your business and to let you become aware of
the various changes in the industry and in
coverages and discounts available.
As many of you already know,
when registering your vehicles, the Department of
Transportation is enforcing the mandatory
insurance law. When registering your vehicle or
renewing tags, you must present a valid Arizona
proof of insurance with the 17 digit vehicle ID
(VIN) number listed on the form.
Insurance companies are
required to notify the State of any lapse in
coverage and at that time your tags are no longer
valid, which may result in fines. If you are
pulled over, the police officer will be able to
scan your vehicle ID# to determine if your
insurance is in effect. Hopefully, this will
reduce the number of uninsured drivers in
Arizona.

On January 1, 1997, the new
maximum annual IRA contribution was increased to
$2,000.00 for each spouse, even if one spouse has
no compensation. What does this mean to you? IRA
contributions can total $4,000.00 for a husband
and wife, compared to $2,250.00 previously when
one spouse was not working.
