Boy, it's HARD to find books where the rats aren't the bad guys! But we have found some, and here they are. Squeaker likes easy-reader books and picture books, Melvin likes chapter books. If you know any books we might like, please e-mail our boss!

Okay, the rat's a villain, but he's SO COOL! A windup toy mouse tries to get a life of his own, while Manny Rat tries to enslave and then destroy him. We love Manny! You will, too, by the end of the book.
Petsitters Club 7: Oscar the Fancy Rat, by Tessa Krailing-
The Petsitters get a job babysitting a rat, but nobody wants the poor little guy.
Warton and the Traders, by Russell E. Erickson-
When Warton Toad wants to help his aunt rescue an orphaned fawn, he needs the help of the trader woodrats.
The Holiday Rat and The Utmost Mouse, by Felice Holman-
These two stories are based (very loosely, I suspect) on true events. In one, a rat helps save a company from going out of business.
