Here are some highlights from my pirate comic, my best attempt at syndication. I actually got a personal reply from King Features Syndicate, who liked it but said that continuing story comics were too hard to sell inless they had well-known or licensed characters in them. (A few months after I had submitted to all the syndicates, UP came out with a pirate comic called Overboard. Not that I'm implying a connection. Just sour grapes.) Anyway, King Features gave me a job writing freelance for Mickey Mouse when Disney decided to try doing continued stories again.
