At the first meeting of Intermountain Yearly Meeting in
1975, there were nine affiliated monthly meetings: Pima (Tucson), Tempe,
Phoenix, and Flagstaff in Arizona; Paradise Valley Monthly Meeting in Las
Vegas, Nevada; Albuquerque and Santa Fe Monthly Meetings in New Mexico; and
Boulder and Mountain View Monthly Meetings in Colorado. Logan Monthly
Meeting in Utah was an associate member, and there were several worship
groups and one preparative meeting (El Paso, Texas). Over the years, several
new monthly meetings joined and some disappeared. In 1977, El Paso was
recognized as a new monthly meeting, and in 1978, Cochise in McNeal, Arizona,
and Las Cruces in New Mexico, were recognized. The first monthly meeting to be
recognized as an independent monthly meeting wishing to seek affiliation was
Salt Lake Monthly Meeting (Utah), which joined in 1979, followed by Logan
Monthly Meeting in 1980. Midland Monthly Meeting (Texas) requested
affiliation in 1982, Gila Friends Meeting (New Mexico) in 1985, Fort
Collins Monthly Meeting (Colorado) in 1986, Colorado Springs Monthly
Meeting and Durango Monthly Meeting in 1987, and Moab Monthly
Meeting (Utah) in 2001. A brief history of the monthly meetings and
worship groups under their care follows.

Vegas Worship Group, currently in Las Vegas, Nevada, which is a member of
Pacific Yearly Meeting.

Intermountain Yearly Meeting by Pacific Yearly Meeting, effective 1973.
The regional meeting continues to meet for fellowship biyearly but at this time
does not have a standing committee structure. The Southeast New Mexico Allowed

declared itself a monthly meeting in December 1949. Several worship groups have
