| ON HOBSONWAY A BURRO TEAM AND AN EARLY BLYTHE BAKERY |
There are two pages of historical photographs on my main website. You'll find their subjects identified and labeled. This
page won't be like that. These are mostly photographs that were emailed to me with little or no indication as to what their
subjects are. All the images on this page were sent to me with assurances that the pictures are of people and places in Blythe
and the Palo Verde Valley. Some, I've been able to identify thanks to a few of our older citizens. Most, however, remain
unknown. If you have knowledge of what any of these unknown subjects are, please email me with the information. I'm grateful
to Victor Lopez and Hank Kraychir for furnishing most of the images on this page. Please click on any image to magnify it.

The image on the right depicts a mobile bunk house/chuck wagon. The image above depicts one at work. Upon seeing the image
on the right, Lawrence "Pete" Compton kindly wrote three pages of his recollections of these versatile vehicles.
I scanned those pages, and posted them below. I'd like to believe Pete saved a little bit of history. Please click on any
of the pages for a larger image.
