To the right is an image of C Canal. The Palo Verde Valley's canal system literally brings life to every corner of our
valley. They bring life giving Colorado River water to agriculture, livestock, and people here. C Canal is one of the larger
arteries. This is one of my favorite images, and I use it as wallpaper on one of my home computers. Please enjoy it with
me by clicking on the image.

We gathered the tiny pottery shards in the image above, and placed them on the rock to illustrate their size. None are larger
than the nail on your little finger. The amazing thing is, if you go to almost any waterhole, dry or not, follow any of the
myriad Native American trails in the area you'll find such pottery. All you have to do is look. Flint scrapers and knives
can also be found, though not as commonly as pottery shards. Please, if you should find such artifacts, after you examine
them, return them to the desert floor that's been their home for centuries. It's not only the legal thing to do, it's also
the right thing to do.
