Gay Hockey Atlanta Atlanta's first gay, lesbian and gay-friendly ice hockey team officially took the ice on Friday, June 15, at the Atlanta IceForum in Duluth. The team will have a ten-week summer season of skills, drills and scrimmage games to prepare for winter recreational leagues. Anyone who can skate but has wanted to play ice hockey is encouraged to join. Skilled players who have been "skating through the closet" are especially welcome. For those who are not players but enjoy hockey, volunteers are needed to organize fund raising events and sponsors. Spectators are always welcome free of charge! |
