How to Contact IGLIHA!

PLEASE NOTE: As of January 2004, direct email links to Board members have been removed and been replaced with a "person_AT_isp.com" format. To email a specific board member, copy the address and replace the "_AT_" with an "@". This change was made to reduce the amount of junk mail being generated by Internet spammers.

PLEASE NOTE: As of November 2002, the "igliha@cs.rpi.edu" lists have been retired. Mail sent to those addresses will be returned to the sender. The lists were retired because it was too easy for Internet spammers to send unsolicited e-mails to all of our membership.

IGLIHA now has two main lists for all of its members:

IGLIHA-ANNOUNCE-L@lists.rpi.edu
and
IGLIHA-DISCUSS-L@lists.rpi.edu

Both lists allow postings ONLY from members on the list. If an outsider tries to post to either list, their message will be rejected.

The IGLIHA-ANNOUNCE-L list shall be used by the IGLIHA Executive Committee to send out important announcements to the general membership (such as this message). It is moderated, so if a member tries to post to the list, the posting must be approved before the message will go out.

The IGLIHA-DISCUSS-L list shall be used for general discussion amongst IGLIHA members. The list is not moderated, so any member can post to this list.

These lists are run by a listproc list server, and you can actually communicate with the list server by sending a message to listproc@lists.rpi.edu. In the message body, type the word HELP, and a command reference will be sent back to you.

It is hoped that these new lists will be useful and help IGLIHA reduce spam from disrupting our discussions.
