Meter:

Accurately monitors A/C line voltage, or may be used as an A/C polarity indicator depending on Mode switch setting.

Test Jack:

Used for testing the A/C polarity of components connected to the Super IDOS.

Mode Switch:

Selects the meter operating mode; polarity test or input voltage monitor. Digital Outlets: All digital devices should be plugged into these outlets. The digital "noise" and "A/C grunge" are sent to earth ground. To assure compatibility with all DA converters, these outlets are grounded. Normal Outlets: High current, less sensitive analog components (power amplifiers etc.) should be plugged into these outlets. These outlets offer the same "digital grunge" isolation as the IDOS I or IDOS II.

Low Level Outlets:

Low current, highly sensitive analog components (preamplifiers, tuners, head amps, etc.) should be plugged into these outlets. The Low Level outlets have double the "digital grunge" isolation as the normal outlets. In addition they are isolated from the normal analog outlets to eliminate any possible interaction.

Additional Features:

A ground screw is conveniently located above the Low Level Outlets for connection of the drain lead on the PAC ALC. A standard IEC type instrument power inlet socket is located on the lower left side. This socket allows line cords of differing lengths to be used. A heavy duty A/C line cord and a test lead (used for testing A/C polarity) are included.
