Ankeny Area Historical Society

Jeff Settell presented a program on "Depression Era Glassware" to the Ankeny Area Historical Society on Thursday, September 10, 2009.

The display used for the presentation included amethyst "Tulip" by Dell Glass Company, green "Ribbon" by Hazel Atlas Glass Company, cobalt blue "Newport" by Hazel Atlas Glass Company, crystal "Sunburst" by Jeannette Glass Company, golden topaz "Roxana" by Hazel Atlas Company, and pink "American Sweetheart" by MacBeth-Evans Glass Company.

This display case below is in the museum (a.k.a. the barn) at the Ankeny Area Historical Society has black, crystal, green, pink and yellow "Cloverleaf" by Hazel Atlas Glass Company, and pink "Dogwood" by MacBeth-Evans Glass Company.

The display case below, also in the museum at the Ankeny Area Historical Society has green "Bowknot" (manufacturer unknown) and green "Rose Cameo" by Belmont Tumbler Company, and blue "Tulip" by Dell Glass Company.

The glassware will be on display through November 8, 2009. Be sure to stop in and tour the museum.
