History of Our Club
The Iowa Depression Glass Club was chartered in June, 1995, as a non-profit organization and includes members from
across the state of Iowa. The club currently has over 25 members, representing a wide variety of interests - Depression glass,
40-50-60s glassware, and elegant Depression glass. Our experience level ranges from the beginning collector to the professional
dealer. Club meetings are held at 7:00 p.m. on the first Tuesday of even numbered months (2006: February 7, April 4, June
6, August 1, October 3, and December 5). A Christmas social is held in December.
Meetings begin with a "Bring and Brag," allowing members to show a piece of glass they have recently found for their collection
and treasure, or for identification by another club member. A short business meeting is conducted, then a program is presented
to the group, usually by a club member.
