I'm certain that persons named Sibe, Sipe, Seib, Syeb or variations of this spelling are related to my line of Seybs through a common, German, Seyb ancestor. Immigration to America resulted, I believe, in misspellings of the original Seyb name. If you have any variations of these names in your surname list please E-mail me. I am anxious to add to my genealogical research through this webpage.
The most recent phase of ongoing construction process of this site (it is forever under construction) is the inclusion of some 2,500 new names contributed generously by a sixth cousin from New York, Richard Hartmetz. His German ancestors and mine by generations intermarried several times. The prime link between our ancestors was Catherine Schmiah, my fourth great grandmother. Thank you for visiting.
