Color Space Series
- Complete the three 6x6-inch triangle grid designs in Illustrator as assigned and begun in class.
Each design should attempt to create a different spatial affect: 1) solid / volumetric, 2) transparent, and 3) flat / non-volumetric.
Use the assigned 4-hue palette.
- Create a separate pdf file and title for each design. Use class protocol for titles and designate each design as "solid", "transparent", or "flat".
- Color Tip: The closer the hues, the easier to control. Inversely, the more contrasting the hues, the harder to control.
Tertiary Color Design
- Complete or revise as necessary the first 6 x 6 inch triangle grid design begun last week in class.
- The palette is a 5-step blend between two complementary pure hues .
- One of the two hues must dominate the composition.
- The composition must also be either mostly high saturation or mostly low saturation.
Reminder: The 3 Attributes of Color
Hue = a color's location on the spectrum
Value = how light or dark the color is
Saturation = how pure, or chromatically intense, the color is
