|Women Who Vote©
Yael's M.F.A. thesis project in the Media Design Program at Art Center College of Design, Pasadena. A case study in design research that explores the relationship between the designer, the client and the community, as a strategic approach to design.
The project offers a solution to a branding challenge that was difficult to position because of the prevailing social and political climate. By taking advantage of the dynamic intersection between media and culture, Women Who Vote© uses media design intervention with common social practices to address challenges that go beyond traditional branding.
At its core the Women Who Vote© campaign uses entertainment and information to market the act of voting to women. It is a unique approach founded on design research that is informed by the culture, the social practices and the history of its audience. A strategic approach that makes information available through innovative media design, as a vehicle for change.
