Performance and Event Details

Dummy: A Display
By Open Eye Figure Theatre

Open Eye Figure Theatre proudly presents a new work by artistic director Michael Sommers. Performing with Mr. Sommers is special guest artist, founding artistic director of Theatre de la Jeune Lune, Robert Rosen, and a recent Open Eye favorite Elise Langer. Sommers has taken his inspiration for Dummy from the world of late 1950’s—early 1960’s children’s television programming, and its influences of burlesque, parlor tricks, gags, and carnival games.

The Very Hungry Caterpillar
& Other Eric Carle Favorites

By Mermaid Theatre of Nova Scotia
At the Flint Hills International Children's Festival

Follow the amazing and brave journeys of three of Eric Carle’s most beloved stories retold on stage by Nova Scotia’s Mermaid Theatre. Watch the Very Hungry Caterpillar’s journey to become a beautiful butterfly; the Little Cloud’s transformation into an airplane, a sheep, and more; and the Mixed-Up Chameleon’s becoming a little bit of every animal it sees at the zoo! Stories come alive using larger-than-life puppets.

May 30 and 31, 2009

All performances are $5.
