Projects

The following is a list of some of the projects that I am working on:


Quito 1600
...Time travel and tourism. This is an ambitious project expected to take some time to
complete. It will go through several phases and be presented in different media. I got the
initial inspiration for this back in 1970 when I was twelve years old and I have held onto
the idea ever since. There are twenty-one sections so far. Part one is a starting point in
Añaquito and an overview from ancient times through the Battle of Añaquito. From there we
move on to several churches and then into the old city. Finally we end up on the hill to
the south, El Panecillo, overlooking the city. This project involves history, archaeology,
architecture, art, costume, weapons and warfare, race, sex, disease, politics, law, and
more. It should, hopefully, be fun as well as interactive. I have conducted research at the
Getty Research Institute, the Getty Conservation Institute, UCLA, the public library, and
other places.

... a tour of mankinds' first/early settlements.


A Visitor's Guide to Hughsterville and Its Environs
... A fictitious town and mythical community of my own devising. Click on the above
link for the latest version of the guide which is published irregularly. Stories and
other materials in a variety of media are in the planning stages.

The Emissaries
...concerning God stuff. You know - Jesus, Buddha, Mohammad and many, many
others. An ongoing series of images with companion text to come later.

El Layo Rayo
... post 2000 Los Angeles where the future is now. An ongoing series of images,
some realistic, some imaginative. Companion text to come later.
