So, up on the front page I have a description of work at this site as being
"symbolism and surrealism meets folk art and some other things". I should probably
say the following. (1) I am not nor have I ever been a member of the Symbolist Party.
(2) I did not sign the Surrealist Manifesto. (3) I am not really a folk artist, in that
real folk artists are people who are generally untrained and didn't know they were no
artists until them people (from the big city) told them so. However, I occasionally do work
that resembles the efforts of people who are folk artists. An example is this home made
stringed "instrument". It looks clunky but it actually holds a tune and is played like a
slide instrument and will be used as the basis for audioscapes to accompany my various
projects. The small picture above shows an earlier stage of evolution.
