The range construction projects that have been planned since the first of the year are now almost complete. The construction projects will accomplish the following:

	Deepen the bay, crown the surface, re-gravel, and properly ditch/drain Bay 6, the 50 yard bay
	Repair and raise the side berms on our pistol bays, including bay 6
	Expand the rifle range parking area and re-drain parts of the rifle range
	Create a stable gravel walking path to the rifle range target area
	Re-cut and clean up the rifle range target area
	Build open sheltered/covered points on Bay 6 and Bay 5
	Build several sporting clay style shooting stands for shotgun use on the old rifle range

Range Rule Changes

Effective immediately, shotguns may no longer be used in bay 6 (the 50 yard bay) or the new rifle range with clay pigeons. Only the old rifle range may be used for shooting thrown clay birds. The old rifle range may only be used for thrown clay birds and all shot shells used must be #7 or smaller shot.

Also, do not set up targets on the new rifle range at distances closer than the 100 yard berm. If you need to shoot closer distances, go to the 50 yard berm (bay 6)

Work Days
Because of all the things we need to accomplish with range improvements and clean up, the club will schedule 5 work days each year. Every member, including Life Members, will be required to either attend 4 hours of one of these work days, or pay an assessment of $35.00 at the end of the year when dues are paid. If any member elects to skip all 5 work days, or if you just cannot make it, you will be required to pay this assessment (in addition to any dues you owe) before your club key for the next calendar year will be mailed to you.

A Club Calendar has been added to the web site to keep members appraised of events at the club, schedules work days, and range closure dates
