Projects
- Click to view some of my projects in infrastructure development as a Programmer/Analyst for the UCSD Division of Family Medicine:
- Inpatient Database (2008)
- Secure Clinical Analysis and Reporting Infrastructure (2006-7) -- A web-database system for secure, automated, clinical, operational, and financial information analysis and reporting.
- Web Questionnaire System (2005) -- Online web-database application designed to allow researchers to create online questionnaires and other forms, to establish de-identified accounts and assign questionnaires to study participants, and to collect response data. Later integrated video viewing and viewing behavior analysis functionality.
- Clinical Web Scheduling System (2004) -- A comprehensive web-database application designed to automate, monitor, and analyze clinical scheduling activities.
- Click to view an account of my experience as a Software Development Engineer (2001-3) on a high-profile project in San Diego.

Presentations
Below are some presentations I have given for seminars at SDSU:
- Web and Database Integration (255KB ppt) -- A sampling of technologies: Linux, MySQL, Oracle, Perl, PHP, ASP, Java, JSPs.
- Print Accounting Server (240KB ppt) -- This describes a print accounting server I created for a lab at SDSU. The system ran under Linux using C++, the open source GUI toolkit GTK+, and the mSQL database.
- Smalltalk (1.5MB ppt) -- The remarkable, pure object-oriented language developed in the 80's at Xerox PARC to implement the first systems to use a windowing GUI, a mouse, and a network. [Click to view a classic talk given by Dan Ingalls, a pioneer of Object-Oriented Programming.]
- Software Testing (150KB ppt).
