1610. Maudie Irene RODGERS was born on 20 May 1888 in Larmar Co., Texas. She died on 16 Jun 1982 in Detroit, Red River., Texas. She was buried on 18 Jun 1982 in Sylvan Cemetery, Larmar Co., Texas. From an unnamed and undated article located in the Lamar County Genealogical Society Library, in the Taylor Collection, Box G: 'Maudie Gibson of Cherry Street Manor, formerly a resident of the Woodland Community, died Wednesday evening, June 16, at St. Joseph's Hospital. Funeral services are set for 4 p.m. Friday, June 18, in the Fry & Gibbs Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. James Barnes of Seventh Street Baptist Church officiating. Burial will follow in the Sylvan Cemetery. Mrs. Gibson was born May 20, 1889, at Mt. Olive, the daughter of Joe Martin and Othella Arnold Rodgers. She attended schools in Mt. Olive. She married Andrew Jackson Gibson on Nov. 27, 1904, in Mt. Olive. He preceded her in death on Sep. 10, 1943. In 1949, Mrs. Gibson married Rance Gibson in Texarkana, AR. He preceded her in death in 1960. She was a member of the Post Oak Baptist Church. She lived in the Woodland Community until 1970 when she moved to Paris. She had been a resident of the nursing home for five years. Three children preceded her death: Martin Gibson on July 9, 1910; Lavesta Speegles on July 16, 1934, and Gertrude Gibson on Jan.24, 1931. Survivors include two sons, Grady Gibson of Paris and Floyd Gibson of Rockwall; two daughters, Lorene Grinstead and Maggie Bells Franklin, both of Paris; five stepchildren, Herbert Gibson, Gordon Gibson and Granville Gibson all of Pattonville, Inez Barnett of Paris and Ruby Fox of Reno; three sisters, Mrs. Audrie Scott of Bogata, Mrs. Ocie Floyd of Paris and Mrs. Beatrice Kennemer of Paris; two brothers, Leo Rodgers and Erbie Rodgers, both of Paris; 11 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; and 11 great-great-grandchildren. Pallbearers were Fred Gibson, Jack Gibson, Dewey Speegle, Larry Grinstead, Mike Gibson, William Andrew Grinstead and Edwin Owen Franklin. *Buried next to Andrew J. Gibson.

She was married to Andrew Jackson GIBSON on 30 Nov 1904 in Larmar Co., Texas. Andrew Jackson GIBSON was born on 9 Sep 1884. He died on 9 Sep 1943. Maudie Irene RODGERS and Andrew Jackson GIBSON had the following children:
