HOUSTON RETREADS MEMBERSHIP
The Retreads Motorcycle club is one of the oldest and best known motorcycle clubs in the USA. The club's history is very interesting, and can be found on the national Retreads website at www.retreads.org . The common interest of all Retreads is a love of motorcycles, all makes and models. A love of motorcycles, at least 40 birthdays, and $20 annual dues is all it takes to join. A MEMBERSHIP APPLICATION can be viewed and downloaded in Adobe PDF format.
The Houston Retreads Chapter is very active, last year 18 Houston Retreads members kept track of their milage, and logged 249,386 miles on their bikes! That's a lot of riding, and a lot of fun for those who participate. The Retreads enjoy day rides, usually the second Saturday of the month. It usually leaves at 9 AM from Kelley's on park Place, where we enjoy breakfast every Saturday morning. We ride somewhere, enjoy lunch and we're home way before dark, even on short winter days. "Eat to Ride and Ride to Eat" is our unofficial motto! Several times a year, we enjoy overnight trips to Big Bend, Arkansas, Jefferson, Texas and points even further away! Some summer days find Houston Retreads scattered from Alaska to Nova Scotia!
The Retreads also have Ice Cream socials, Christmas parties, and Technical Saturdays, where members help each other change oil, etc.
