BIOGRAPHY

The inception of dbas(s)ed (pronounced D-based) begun in the early nineties when Hamlet became involved in the electronic arts medium via the experimental video work he was producing while attending art school. Soon after graduating dbas(s)ed was formed by Hamlet. The dbas(s)ed sound drew from an eclectic blend of sounds and influences. The common thread of uniqueness and originality had been carried over beautifully from video to audio.

In 2002 Hypnotic Records released This Is Rave: Vol IV, a very progressive blend of trance and house produced by dbas(s)ed and Decoding Jesus, including original tracks by both artists. In the same year yet another track was included on the soundtrack to the independent film "Luster". dbas(s)ed has also done remixes for the likes of Missing Persons, Moloko, Santana and Andy, the middle eastern pop sensation. In 2003 "This Is Trance 3.0" was released once again on Hypnotic Records with a mind bending mix of trance, progressive and beyond specially mixed by dbas(s)ed vs Decoding Jesus including original tracks by both artists.

The single "RobotBoy", available on itunes, with remixes by prominent Los Angeles producers DJ Barbeau of Dirty Sanchez and the bombastic Decoding Jesus, was a hit on dance floors around the world. Recently dbas(s)ed gave the slammin' remix treatment to the up and coming young and talented singer, Tiffany Madadian. Currently dbas(s)ed continues work on his next album due out sometime in 2008.
