Note: The number of arrests exceeds 33012 because several of the repressed were arrested more than once. The number of repressive verdicts is less than the number of arrests because several of the accused were freed for lack of evidence against them, or they died during the investigation, or their fate is unknown. In several years the number of repressive verdicts is larger than the number of arrests because cases would be passed on from the previous years.
