A long time ago I created a set of game rules to create an interest in US History and to introduce others to the hobby of miniature war gaming. Creating the rules and gaming with them has been one small aspect of the project. The ultimate goal was to have a set of, step by step rules, for beginners. To allow them, not only to learn the game, but the concepts and terminology used by war gamers and military historians around the world.
The rules presented here are the culmination of many hours of work and editing. Even in it's current form however it could use additional editing. I have decided to post these rules in their current form in the hopes that they be used as they were intended. For instruction and education. I would appreciate any suggestions or recommendations that would help to better the rules or the format.
The original release was intended to be in print form but due to extensive use of graphics that was not feasable. It was going to be uploaded in a word processing format but difficulties arose there as well (upload/download time, file sizes, website bandwidth etc). The final form was translated to HTML format. Unfortunately this ruined much of the spacing/paragraph organizational data. Hopefully some viewer can assist in this area or provide the writer with a better format.
The rules were designed to use HO scale or 1/72 scale plastic American Civil War figures available from most hobby/game stores. Paper Figures or Paper Miniatures could easily be substituted as long as they are printed in the same scale.
The writer does not condone war or violence to solve problems but does acknowledge that throughout history others have often deemed it so.
Enjoy,
