Tabernacle Christian Church

We are honored that you are visiting our web site. Being a religious organization, we are always striving to find new ways to get our message out to current and prospective members. This web site allows us to reach people we may never have been able to contact before.

Tabernacle Christian Church Statement of Faith:

The Christian Church / Church of Christ is made up of thousands of congregations who accepts without reservation Jesus Christ as the divine Son of the living God.  We accept the Bible as the Divinely inspired Word of God and believe the New Testament is the only infallible rule of faith and practice for Christians...We seek the restoration of the New Testament Church which will provide Christian unity, autonomous church grovernment, and a non-denominational congregation of Christians only.  We proclaim the same conditions of salvation as the Apostles did.

1.  Hear the Gospel. (Rom. 10:17)

2. Believe Jesus Christ is the Son of God (Acts 16:31; Mark 16:36)

3. Repent of Sins (Acts 2:38, 17:30)

4. Confess Jesus Christ Publicly (Rom. 10:10)

5. Be immersed for remission of sins and gift of Holy Spirit, in the name of the Fathe, Son, and Holy Spirit. (Acts 2:38; Matthew 28:19)

6. Live a Godly life (Rev. 2:10; Peter 1:15, 16)

The Lord's Supper is observed each Lord's Day (Acts 20:7).  We wear the name Christian (Acts 11:26).  The spiritual and business affairs of the Church are directed by Elders and Deacons (Titus 1:1-5; Tim 1:1-13)

We belive in no creed but Christ; no book but the Bible; no name but the Divine; and no plea but the Gospel.

-------------------------------------------------------------------

We Believe the Holy Bible is the inspired word of God and we speak where the Bible speaks and are silent when the Bible is silent.  We believe in Jesus Christ.  He was born of a virgin as the only begotten Son of God.  He was crucified and died on a cruel cross for our sins and was buried.  But the grave could not hold Him, as on the third day He arose, and after 40 days He ascented to Heaven to join His Heavenly Father.  There He is preparing a wonderful place for all who follow Him and accept Him as their personal Saviour.

We Believe there is a Heaven and a hell....the Bible tells us so.
There is the terrible hell to shun and the beautiful Heaven awaits all those who accept Christ and His teachings and are faithful to the end.

How can we become a Christian?
We must hear the Bible preached, study the God inspired word, and believe it.  We must confess our sins, and profess our faith in Jesus Christ.  We must be baptized by immersion, as Christ gave us the example.
We can be added to the local church as members in this manner, or we can transfer our membership from another New Testament believing church.  We can even come from another denominational background, which does not immerse, but a statement of faith and baptism by immersion will be accepted.
