The structural integrity of the production cast crankshafts can best be depicted though the cross-sectional mechanical drawings that clearly show the substantial overlap created by the use of the large journals and relatively small stroke.  This is what makes offset stroking the production cranks so inviting.  Click on the thumbnails below for a close-up look at the prints.
