By the spring of 1944 the 336th Fighter Squadron, 4th Fighter Group had fully converted from the Republic P-47 Thunderbolts to the new aerodynamic North American P-51B Mustangs. Two fighter pilots who became legends during this period were Don S. Gentile and his wingman John T Godfrey. Gentile's P-51 "Shangri-la" leads an attack on the German Luftwaffe deep inside the Reich.Print size 18 X 25 inches.
