Volunteers

Volunteers play an essential role in supporting the Center in its mission to prevent child abuse in Orange County. There are a variety of ways for community members to get involved. Please contact us if you wish to volunteer.

Volunteer Opportunities

Parent Aide Volunteers

Parent aides work directly with families in their homes under the supervision of the Parent Aide Program Coordinator from Alamance. In -home parenting education is an intensive intervention and so we ask that each volunteer is able to make at least a one year commitment, be over 21 years of age with a high school diploma and ideally, has experience working with families and children. A twelve hour training session and monthly in-service training is also required.

Fundraising/Special Events Volunteer

These volunteers work directly with the members of the Board of Directors during Child Identification Days in April and September, during the Tee-it-up For Kids Golf Tournament or on other special events throughout the year.

Board Member

Please consider joining the program as a Board Member. A broad representation from the community is key to our success in providing parenting support and information to the families of Orange County.
