Hesper Technologies Host Operating System
The Hesper Technologies Host Operating System is a software program
that runs on an IBM PC or compatible computer and replaces the "Masterop"
program initially supplied by Mastech, Inc., with its 8000 and 6000 series
testers running on the Hewlett Packard computer. This software runs under
Windows 2000 or higher and has the following advantages over the Mastech
software:
-
Relieves dependence on the now obsoleted HP computer.
-
Eliminates the non-supported Mastech operating system.
-
Runs on readily available, low cost, IBM PC or compatible.
-
Allows customization of operating system to suit any special requirements
of the user.
-
Allows full programming support for any test system modifications such
as special parameters or modes of operation.
The Hesper Technologies Host Operating System supports the following
functions:
Counters
-
ZERO all counters at any or all stations.
-
SET any counter at any station.
-
READ any or all counters at any or all stations, and
-
Display values on screen.
-

-
Display non-zero values only on screen.
-
Print values.
-
Print non-zero values only.
-
Display or print graph of values at any station.
-

Programming
-
LOAD or READ primitive level programs directly from keyboard, WYSIWYG,
no program checking or automatic setting of any condition.
-

-
English language editing of Program Buffer, 500 tests maximum, with program
checking and automatic setting of bias conditions (with manual forcing
of conditions available). Includes ADD, EDIT, COPY, MOVE, APPEND, INSERT,
DELETE, and CLEAR functions.
-

-
PRINT Program Buffer.
-
FILL tester program memory with default test.
-
TRANSFER tests from tester to buffer, disk to buffer, buffer to tester,
and buffer to disk.
Remote Mode
-
LOAD remote mode control settings for any station.
Data Log
-
LOG to SCREEN.

LOG to PRINTER.
-
LOG to DISK file.
-
PRINT data log disk file.
-
VIEW data log disk file on screen.
-

-
EDIT data log headings.
-
SELECT alternate heading files.
-
RENAME PARAMETERS.
-
Direct reading HFE.
Classification
-
ASSIGN TESTS to types.
-
PRINT assigned tests table.
-
SAVE assigned tests table to disk file.
-
LOAD assigned tests table from disk file.
-
GENERATE classify program by combining assigned tests table with program
in buffer.
-
LOAD or READ priorities for any station.
-
SAVE priorities to disk file.
-
LOAD priorities from disk file.
-
PRINT priorities.
Verification
-
LOAD or READ verify table for any station.
-
PRINT verify table.
-
SAVE verify table to disk file.
-
LOAD verify table from disk file.
Statistics
-
VIEW or PRINT statistics for any data log disk file. Includes MIN, MAX,
MEAN, MEDIAN, STD DEV, MEAN + SD, MEAN - SD, # of SAMPLES.
-

-
VIEW or PRINT graph of test result distribution for any test in a data
log disk file.
-
VIEW or PRINT DELTA readings between 2 data log disk files.
Curves
-
DISPLAY or PRINT curve plot of any parameter, any bias condition, Y-axis
log or linear, selectable incrementation, selectable grids, selectable
stats (mean, min, max, std dev, best fit). VIEW or PRINT curve plot data.
SAVE or RETRIEVE curve plots to or from disk files.
-

-

-

File
-
Translate test results files or curve plot files to alternate format for
import to popular spreadsheet applications.
Auto Mode
-
Alternate between two modes of operation based on the number of devices
tested.
Program Additional Limits
-
Add virtual tests to a data log test sequence, with programmable min/max
and limits.
Pass-Fail Deltas
-
Compare delta readings generated from two data log files to programmed
limits, both absolute and percent, and report results to the screen or
printer.
