Who is Sue Pitman?

Susan S. Pitman is an internationally respected spokesperson for the chemically injured and sensitive who has been featured in the press worldwide, including "20/20," British Broadcasting Company, National Public Radio, and the New York Times. Active in legislative and regulatory matters, Pitman has educated Texas policy makers about the human health effects of low-level exposures to chemical pollutants and has been instrumental in the adoption of many legislative and regulatory initiatives including laws requiring less-toxic pest control (IPM) in Texas schools and setting voluntary guidelines for indoor air quality in schools, and regulations defining less toxic pest control services provided by professional pest control companies (Reduced Impact Service.)

Pitman's expertise in indoor air quality is a result of the practical hands-on experience of managing her family's recovery from multiple chemical sensitivity (MCS) caused by indoor air pollution and pesticides. She has built two nationally acclaimed "less-toxic" homes in Wimberley, TX.

Currently President of H/E Solutions, Inc., Pitman consults and teaches non-chemical pest control and easy ways to make less-toxic lifestyle choices. She is also Network Coordinator of The Chemical Connection, A Public Health Network of Texans Sensitive to Chemicals and Executive Director of The Vanguard (in preventing and coping with chemical injury), a 501(c ) (3) non-profit educational organization.

Over the past 15 years, Pitman has helped numerous people understand the importance and relative ease of avoiding chemical pollutants and watched their health improve.
